Faithways Leadership Academy

In listening to the experiences of youth today, we affirm the enormous challenges that our world is facing, including mental health crisis, ecological issues, racism, and religious and political polarization. Christians are called to address, not ignore, these issues.
Our program develops leadership skills in high school students (9th-12th grade) who are ready to make a positive difference in the world. Spanning from April to November, the Faithways program has three major components: a virtual spring weekend retreat, a week-long summer camp, and optional participation in a fall weekend civil rights trip with Georgetown College faculty, staff, and students.
Any student who completes Faithways Academy and is not receiving an exclusive scholarship to GC (such as athletics or Legacy and Legends) will receive a $10,000 scholarship to Georgetown College – $2,500 per year for four years.

Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill

Venture into a world of discovery with Shaker Village Explorer Summer Camp! Summer camp can be one of the most valuable experiences in a child’s life. Explorer Camp allows children ages 6-12 to learn new skills and make friends at one of the most spectacular Historic Landmarks in the world.
During this one-week camp, trained staff will guide children through adventures in The Preserve, on The Farm and throughout
The Historic Centre. Registration fee includes full-day programming throughout the week, two healthy snacks per day (one AM, one PM) and a Camp t-shirt. Campers must bring their own non-perishable sack lunch.

After two successful years of our weeklong summer camp, we’ve decided to bring it back again for 2026! For one special week this summer, museum-curious middle schoolers will have a chance to get hands-on with the exhibition creation process from brainstorm to opening reception. Walnut Hill Day School

As always, Walnut Hill offers “theme-based camps.” Our camps fill up quickly and have waiting lists. The children love coming and have so much fun! Camps are Monday through Thursday, (9am-1pm) for the months of June and July. You may enroll your child in as many camps as you wish, providing there are spots available. Each camp week is theme-based and incorporates fun, age-appropriate academic activities through games, arts and crafts, hands-on experiments, etc. It’s summer and children deserve a fun time!
