Summer EBT is a benefit available to Kentucky families. Eligible school-aged children can get $120 per child to buy groceries during the summer. Summer P-EBT/SUN Bucks may have a different name depending on your location.

Families can receive Summer EBT on top of other benefits like SNAP and WIC, and children can continue to enjoy free SUN Meals from local meal sites or with SUN Meals To-Go.

The Summer EBT program provides grocery benefits to families with school-aged children in our community. Last year, Summer EBT helped over 395,000 kids in Kentucky get the healthy food that they usually enjoy while they’re in school!

Children ages 6-18 as of August 1, 2025 who received SNAP, KTAP, or Kinship Care benefits during any part of the 2025-2026 school year will be automatically enrolled and do not need to apply.
