There are many great places to get wet in Kentucky!  From splash parks to aquatic centers it’s a great time to enjoy time with your family and explore a new place!


Lexington is home to seven neighborhood pools and aquatic centers. All pools accept cash, check or credit card. You can pay at the door or purchase a pool pass to use all summer.

Notice: A Parks & Recreation swim meet will take place at a city pool on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings through July. Hosting pools will be closed to the general public during these meets beginning at 5 p.m.

Aquatic centers – Aquatic facilities include play areas for children, slides and bath houses.

Woodland Aquatic Center – 190 Old Park Avenue, Lexington, KY, 40502  
Located in the heart of Lexington in Woodland Park, this facility is equipped with a looped slide and an interactive pirate ship (2021: ship has been removed and will be replaced in the future).

Monday – Saturday: 12 pm – 6 pm.
Sunday: Noon – 6 p.m.

Southland Aquatic Center – 625 Hill-n-Dale Road, Lexington, KY, 40503  
Located in the southern part of Lexington, this facility’s features include a double looped slide, extensive water play apparatuses, state of the art playground and sand play area.

Monday – Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday: Noon – 6 p.m.

Tates Creek – 1400 Gainesway Drive, Lexington, KY, 40517  
Located next to the Tates Creek Golf Course, this state of the art facility’s features include an enclosed looped slide, play apparatuses, and a 50 meter lap pool.

Sunday: Noon – 6 p.m.

Castlewood Aquatic Center – 320 Parkview Avenue, Lexington, KY, 40505  
Located on the north side of town, this facility’s features include a looped slide, a giant octopus and a sand play area.

Neighborhood Pools – Facilities include bath houses and vending machines.

Lexington has four spraygrounds located at Castlewood, Douglass, Jacobson and Masterson Station parks. Spraygrounds are interactive water features that are ideal for children of all ages. Designed to have no standing water, there is no lifeguard on duty so parent supervision is required.

Masterson Station and Jacobson spraygrounds will open for the season April 24, 2021. Castlewood will open May 29 and Douglass will open June 5.

Suffoletta Family Aquatic Center  Opens May 28, 2021

The Suffoletta Family Aquatic Center is an interactive outdoor family aquatic center. It has a total of 18,000+ square feet of surface area. The 1200 square foot splash pad for children 10 and under is located right next to the Leisure Pool that boasts 7,860 square feet of surface area with an interactive play feature. Lounge around in our 700 linear foot Lazy River, that’s about .13 miles around and takes approximately 5 minutes to complete a circuit. Take an exciting ride on our 200 foot, 5 story tower water slide! You must be at least 48″ to challenge the slide.  Pay a daily admission or purchase a season pass.

This indoor pool features eight lane competition lap pool, a leisure pool with whirlpool and a 108 ft. slide.


Jessamine Co. Aquatic Center – Be watching for 2021 Updates

-The daily rates are $7.00 for adults over 17 years of age, $5.00 for 3-17 year-olds, and free to kids under three years of age.

Paradise Cove at Lake Reba – Opens May 29, 2021

Saturday, May 29th Paradise Cove Aquatic Center will open to the general public. We are making alterations to the operations of the facility this year to be more in line with current COVID-19 guidelines. As of this moment season passes will not go on sale, instead we will be doing discounted daily admissions. The center includes an 18,000 square ft. wave pool, a drift river, a kiddy activity pool, a triple slide complex, a double slide tower, a go-kart track, a championship miniature golf course, an arcade, a batting cage, and a driving range.
