Summer Solstice Celebration!
The Sun warms (and burns) our skin, gives us hope in the dark winters, and makes life on Earth possible. The constant orbit of our tilted planet around that star allows us, here in Kentucky, to experience seasons as well as changing amounts of sunlight throughout the year. The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year because the northern hemisphere of Earth is pointed directly at the Sun, meaning it receives more light. This means we have more sunlight to have fun!
