The WKYT Sport, Boat, and Recreation Show sails into Lexington’s Rupp Arena and Heritage Hall beginning January 31.
A variety of outdoor activities will be represented as well as a number of both local and national vendors will be in attendance bringing the best in boats, RVs, campers, motor sports, and more to one central location.
”For over 30 years, WKYT has been proud to host this exciting event,” said Tom Bennett, a vice president of WKYT. “It’s the perfect place for people to get out of the cold and turn their attention to all the great outdoor activities Kentucky is known for enjoying.”
The WKYT Sport, Boat, and Recreation show is not just for adults looking for an escape from the house, said Bennett. “It’s for kids as well. We have a petting zoo from Rosie’s Ponies, a trout tank where kids can try to catch a real fish, and, for the kid in all of us.”
For the young and young at heart, there’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see Rupp Arena for a totally different perspective by flying across the arena on a zipline.
”And the amazing thing is that all of this is free with admission,” said Bennett. Admission to the 2013 WKYT Sport, Boat and Recreation Show is $7 for adults and $3 for children between 3 and 13. Children under 3 are admitted free.
