Join family, friends, and neighbors for The Nest’s seventh annual Family Fun Day, presented by The Groovalution, this Saturday, May 20th from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Duncan Park, 529 North Martin Luther King Boulevard.

This free community event features food and refreshments provided by Independence Bank, music by DJ Stookey, professional face painting by Colleen’s Creations and Bruck’s Thumbs Up Facepainting, Honeyhill Farm petting zoo, hip hop dancing by The Fam, balloon animals and stilt walkers Best Party Ever, games, arts and crafts, and a community resource fair with over 50 local organizations that provide support to families and individuals.  In addition to The Groovalution, event sponsors include Independence Bank, Doodles Breakfast and Lunch, Bates Security, Central Bank, Humana, and Vulcan Materials. 

“Family Fun Day is an opportunity for our community to come together as friends and neighbors to enjoy fun family activities and also strengthen our neighborhood connections and raise awareness about the resources that are out there for families,” said Jeffrey White, Executive Director of The Nest.
