DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin family\, friends\, and neighbors for The Nest’s 
 seventh annual Family Fun Day\, presented by The Groovalution\, this 
 Saturday\, May 20th from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Duncan Park\, 529 
 North Martin Luther King Boulevard.\n\n\n\n\nThis free community event fea
 tures food and refreshments provided by Independence Bank\, music by DJ St
 ookey\, professional face painting by Colleen’s Creations and Bruck’s 
 Thumbs Up Facepainting\, Honeyhill Farm petting zoo\, hip hop dancing by T
 he Fam\, balloon animals and stilt walkers Best Party Ever\, games\, arts 
 and crafts\, and a community resource fair with over 50 local organization
 s that provide support to families and individuals.  In addition to The 
 Groovalution\, event sponsors include Independence Bank\, Doodles Breakfas
 t and Lunch\, Bates Security\, Central Bank\, Humana\, and Vulcan Material
 s. \n\n\n\n\n“Family Fun Day is an opportunity for our community to com

  lifeline for all individuals and families in crisis\, facing adversity\, 
 or who have unexpected needs. Our holistic approach incorporates four FREE
  programs: early childhood education and care\, family assistance for basi
 c human needs\, counseling and advocacy for survivors of intimate partner 
 violence\, and education and support for parents.  Our mission is to prev
 ent the abuse and neglect of children and adults by supporting families in
  crisis through education\, counseling\, advocacy\, and support.\n\n\n\n\n
