Newport Aquarium Overnight Adventure
In addition to all of the usual fun of an Overnight Adventure, these sleepovers will also include special shark-themed Behind The Scenes tours, activities, crafts and more, as well as an exclusive Shark Talk with the biologist that actually cares for our sharks. You’ll explore the hidden treasures of the Aquarium and visit with unique animals from around the world before camping out among amazing sea life.
The #SharkSummer Sleepover is capped off with a special hot breakfast in Sharky’s Cafe in the morning!

Cincinnati Museum Center
Spend the night at Union Terminal!
Grab your sleeping bag and experience what USA Today and Family Vacation Critic have called one of the country’s best museum overnights! Each Overnight program includes educational programming, an evening snack, time to explore areas of Union Terminal, breakfast and an OMNIMAX® film.
Recommended for ages 6 to 14, our Public Overnights and Private Overnights are open to small and large groups, families, youth groups and Boy and Girl Scout groups. Check out our Overnight Survival Guide for great tips on what to bring and what to expect at a Cincinnati Museum Center Overnight!
Due to restoration and repairs in the Duke Energy Children’s Museum, Overnights will be unavailable until further notice. Be watching for new overnights when the museum renovations are complete.

Cincinnati Zoo Family Overnights
Spend the night at the wildest place in town!
Join the Zoo’s overnight program, Overnight Adventures, for special evenings designed for parents and children, age 5 and up. During the program, you will hike the Zoo, go behind the scenes, experience live animal encounters, and engage in other exciting activities. Awake to lion and gibbon calls, have breakfast, and then enjoy a special animal encounter.
Who can participate?
- Children and Adults 5 years old and up.
When are Family Nights available?
- Year round. See below for dates and topics.
- Family Overnight start at 6pm. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early.
How much are Family Nights?
- Prices vary per program.
Where do Family Nights take place?
- Twiga participants sleep in our brand new tented camp built on the edge of the Giraffe Ridge exhibit.
- Sleep with the Manatees participants sleep in the Manatees Springs building.
- Most other family overnights sleep in the Harold C. Schott Education Center.

Louisville Zoo Night Safari
Join us for a unique overnight adventure that only the Zoo can provide. Louisville Zoo Night Safari programs offer the intimate experience of having the Zoo and our education team to yourselves for what will certainly prove to be an exciting night to remember. Students will participate in engaging activities, explore the Zoo after dark and go on a morning walk to see our animals rising for the day.
The experience begins at 6 p.m. with dinner. Animal encounters, education activities and a night walk through the Zoo will keep your group engaged until lights out at 11 p.m. After a light continental breakfast, your group will enjoy a guided morning tour. The Night Safari experience ends at 10 a.m. but you and your guests are welcome to stay for the following day.
