The City of Frankfort and Destination Frankfort invite you to MEET US AT THE RIVER!!!

The Kentucky River, once a major “highway” and the lifeblood of Frankfort, is once again opened up to the waters to the north, the Ohio River. Please join us on Saturday, June 25, 2016, as we once again celebrate life on the Kentucky River, linking Frankfort to it’s river neighbors further north.

A full day of celebration is scheduled to begin at 8 am on Saturday, June 25, 2016, with the 2nd Annual River Blast River Run, and end with a host of activities, including featured musical entertainment from the Tim Clark Band.

Admission $5 Adults, Children 12 and under free – Proceeds to benefit Riverside Children’s Play Park

– 7:00 am – 3:00 – Fishing Tournament (More information to follow)
– 8:00 am (late registration and package pick up at 7 am) – River Blast River Run 3K
– 9:00 am (registration begins at 8:00 am) – Paddling Races on the Kentucky River
– 11:00 am – 7:00 pm – ART Market
– 11:00am – 5pm – Children’s Activities
– 11:00 am – 10:00 pm – Food Vendors & Beer Garden
– 12:00 – 10:00 pm – Live Music on Stage
– 1:00 – 7:00 pm – Boat Tours Kentucky Thorobred (Kentucky State University’s Science Lab), a 48 passenger house boat. Departs each hour
– 1:30 – 6:00 pm – Games for All Ages
– 3:00 pm – Flotilla presented by the Frankfort Boat Club
