Enjoy interactive activities from partners Lexington Children’s Museum and Seedleaf, discovering how native species support healthy ecosystems, wildlife, and vibrant communities while connecting science, nature, and fun in a memorable morning of learning on the Rec Lawn.

10:00 am–10:30 am – Guided Tactile Experience with Dr. King
Learn to identify plants native to central Kentucky, found along Town Branch Creek and in our bioswales, by joining Dr. Brian King, PhD for a 30-minute guided tactile experience. Meet at the Gatton Park tent to start!

11:00 am–11:30 am – Guided Tactile Experience with Dr. King (repeat of first session)
