EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Participants will investigate rock layers, learn about fossils and local formations, and engage in fun experiments that show the forces that built the region. From hands-on digs to interactive demonstrations, this morning invites children and adults alike to uncover the secrets of the earth beneath the Bluegrass and connect science with the natural world in a fun, memorable way.

Join Dr. Brian King, PhD for a 30-minute guided tactile experience. Explore Kentucky’s fascinating geology, from ancient seas that formed the limestone beneath our feet to the karst systems that connect surface and underground waters. Meet at the Gatton Park tent to start!
