Theme: Horse Racing History Book: The Jockey and Her Horse Activities: Measuring by “hands”, trying on real silks, and creating your own silks

The Jockey & Her Horse is inspired by the true story of the first Black woman jockey, Cheryl White, who raced to the finish line on her family’s beloved racehorse, Jetolara, to make history as the first African American woman to ride and win a professional horse race in the country.
