The auditions will be held at the Spotlight Playhouse, located at 214 Richmond Road in Berea, KY. Open to aspiring actors aged 9-14, this opportunity is perfect for those looking to showcase their talent, regardless of prior experience. The audition process consists of cold readings and following directions, with optional monologues welcomed. Age waivers may be granted for older students, though roles are not guaranteed. The delightful production of “An Enchanted Bookshop Christmas” offers young actors the chance to bring to life a heartwarming holiday tale filled with beloved literary characters. Set in a magical bookshop where characters come alive, the play follows the adventures of Miss Margie, her sister Ellen, and her niece Annabelle. As the story unfolds, we meet a captivating cast of Christmas-themed characters, including the Nutcracker Prince, Amy March, the Velveteen Rabbit, the Little Match Girl, and Ebenezer Scrooge. When a mix-up involving a crucial bookmark threatens Ellen’s chance at a new opportunity, the enchanted characters must join forces to save the day, all while keeping their magical existence a secret. This charming play offers young actors the opportunity to embody a variety of memorable roles and take the audience on a heartwarming, laughter-filled journey that reminds us of the true meaning of the holiday season.

All students in the designated age range will be cast
No prior acting experience required
Audition process: Cold reading and following directions
Monologues welcome but not mandatory
Age waivers possible for older students (roles not guaranteed)
Performances scheduled for Dec. 8-10
Rehearsals: Saturdays, 4:30-5:30 pm
Standard tuition: $85 per month (before discounts or financial aid)
