The Basketball Tournament (TBT) – the $1 million, winner-take-all summer basketball event broadcast live on FOX Sports – will see the debut of La Familia, a Kentucky alumni team. La Familia will host the Lexington Regional, looking to defend home court at Rupp Arena from July 19-23, 2024.

Kentucky alumni team La Familia, who are making their TBT debut this summer at Rupp Arena, feature former NBA players Eric Bledsoe, Willie Cauley-Stein, and James Young. Program legend and former first-round pick Tyler Ulis will serve as the team’s head coach. 

La Familia’s roster includes:

Eric Bledsoe (2009-10)

Brennan Canada (2019-24)

Willie Cauley-Stein (2012-15)

Kellan Grady (2021-22)

Aaron Harrison (2013-15)

Andrew Harrison (2013-15)

Kerem Kanter (Enes Kanter’s brother/Green Bay/Xavier)

Daniel Orton (2009-10)

Nate Sestina (2019-20)

James Young (2013-14)

Reid Travis, Doron Lamb, and Marquis Teague will no longer be able to play on this year’s team due to unforeseen professional obligations at the time of their commitment.

La Familia will play 305 Ballers on Friday, July 19, at 8 p.m. ET on FS2. If La Familia advances to the second round, they will face the winner of WoCo Showtime (Wofford Alumni) and The Nawf on Sunday, July 21 at 2 p.m. ET on FOX.

La Familia has earned the #2 seed in TBT’s Lexington Regional and they’ll take on #7 seed 305 Ballers on Saturday, July 20 at 1:00pm (Session 1)


Additional player announcements for La Familia will be announced via TBT and the team’s social media channels.

Club Blue, the official NIL partner of Kentucky Athletics, has also partnered with TBT on the Lexington Regional. A portion of ticket sales for all games at Rupp Arena will go to Club Blue to support Kentucky student-athletes.

The Lexington & Louisville Regionals of TBT are matched up which means La Familia (Kentucky Alumni) and The Ville (Louisville Alumni) could play in TBT’s Quarterfinals!

The Lexington Regional championship game is Tuesday, July 23 at 9 p.m. ET on FS1.

The winner of the Lexington Regional will play the winner of the Louisville Regional in the quarterfinals on July 29 or 30 (official game date, time, and location to be determined). The semifinals and $1 million winner-take-all championship game will be Aug. 2 and Aug. 4 in Philadelphia at the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
