Please join us on MLK Day to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. After the downtown MLK march or your morning activities, head to the Carnegie Center to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Join us for lunch courtesy of Salsarita’s and a series of interactive family activities including a dance performance and workshop by Katts and Kittens Dance Team. We’ll have community poetry with Affrilachian Poet, Jude McPherson; kids can decorate their own “I have a dream” journals, and we’ll participate in a group service project making welcome cards for children refugees, which will be donated to Kentucky Refugee Ministries.
Imaginative learning never stops at the Carnegie Center. Following our MLK community-wide celebration don’t forget to check out all the workshops and events for  KIDS & TEENS happening throughout the winter.
