Special Program at the Muhammad Ali Center
This year, the Smithsonian Institute is encouraging women and girls of color in underserved communities to experience the cultural institutions in their areas. The Center will host multiple special activities throughout the day for all visitors to enjoy, including:

·         A Career Panel from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Participates to come.)

·         A Poetry Slam hosted by the Young Poets of Louisville from 2:00-3:00 p.m.

“We felt it was important to participate in Museum Day Live! as a way to encourage underserved individuals, especially women and girls, to explore the cultural institutions and museums in their own community,” said Jeanie Kahnke, spokesperson for the Muhammad Ali Center. “One museum-related encounter expands horizons and certainly has the potential for lasting impact.”

The ticket includes free entry for two people from the same household, additional visitors must to pay full admission pricing. To learn more or download a ticket, visit alicenter.org/calendar.
