Summer Playground Days provides safe, engaging programming in neighborhood parks in Lexington. Events are recommended for children ages 5 and up. Each day, Lexington Parks and Recreation staff will visit the parks and host a variety of engaging and educational activities.
Activities include recreational sports, make and take arts and crafts, STEM projects, supervised playground play, and the Park and Play program van. Check out the schedule below! We hope to see you at your local parks!
Summer Playground Days are each weekday, June – July, excluding city holidays on June 19 and July 3 (Independence Day observed).
In severe weather or heavy rainfall, the event may be canceled. View our Operation Status page for any cancelations due to weather.
