Join us for a full week of free hands-on creativity, high-energy games, music, and STEAM discovery. Drop in for an hour or stay all day—there’s always something happening around every corner of the park. Additionally, visitors can enjoy our book cart, lawn games, water play, adventure playground, and food and drink specials at The Boxcar Café. Please note, Spring Break at Gatton Park is not a drop-off event. Caregivers must stay with their children. Large groups, including schools and daycares, are required to complete the Field Trip & Group Request Form in advance due to event capacity limits.
Wild About Wildlife Kick off the week by celebrating the natural world with pollinator science, bug-inspired art, and animal-themed movement.
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Tales & Tunes Get ready to ‘Hop Like a Bunny’ with Sarah Smitha of Little Magic Music for this drop-in session of music, dancing, and games all celebrating wildlife.
12:00 PM – 01:00 PM | STEAM Lab Come explore the fascinating world of butterflies with Bluegrass Greensource with several hands-on activities.
01:00 PM – 03:00 PM | Arts & Crafts Create bold insect-inspired prints using natural textures and dyes with Red Oaks Art Club.
02:00 PM – 04:00 PM | Field Games Bring your A-game and your best kick for soccer on the Rec Lawn.
