An annual tradition, Kite Fest is an exciting event celebrating kites and all things aerial.

It is returning to Masterson Station Park for 2026, offering a beautiful field, closer parking, and better traffic flow so you can get to the event quicker and enjoy the fun.

Celebrate National Kite Month with Parks & Recreation during one of our first events of the season with Kite Fest – an exciting event celebrating kites and all things aerial! We invite you to get out and play and come fly a kite with us. Enjoy acoustic ukulele and guitar performances, face painting, airbrush tattoos, bounce houses, and more. Bring a picnic, snacks, or purchase food, available from some of Lexington’s best food trucks!

Don’t have a kite? No worries, kites will be available for purchase onsite.

Parking is across from the fairgrounds. Kite Fest is held on the hill next to the Masterson Station playground.
