Signaling the beginning of a week of international competition at Keeneland, CHI Saint Joseph Health is presenting a musically-synched fireworks show in downtown Lexington as a salute to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

Sunday, November 1st  6:30 pm

The fireworks will again be hosted at R.J. Corman’s Central Kentucky Yard in downtown Lexington, the same launch location as the July 4th city-sponsored fireworks. The show will begin at 6:30pm and the same protocols will be in place to ensure another safe and successful event.

“We think this is a great way to let our locals and limited guests know that the championship week is here,” said Saint Joseph’s Director of Marketing, Jeff Murphy. “A racing-themed fireworks show will be a fun and safe way to start the celebration.”

A number of week-long experiences – both on-line and in-person – can be enjoyed as the excitement builds towards two-days of incredible competition at Keeneland. To learn more, go to breederscup.com for more information.

Media sponsor LM Communications has provided a special sound track for the evening. To listen to the music while enjoying the fireworks, you can tune in to Classic Rock 92.1 at the 6:30 start time for the fireworks. “We are excited to help start the week with a bang,” said LM Communications Lynn Martin. “All of our stations are aware how big of a week this is for our city and racing fans.”

All parking will be free at the Rupp Arena High Street parking lot and social distancing will be strictly enforced. Cars will park every other space to adhere with COVID-19 protocols.
