The YMCA of Central KY has great programs available for the community this summer!
Legacy Bike Trail Rentals
Summer is a popular time for bike riding, and the North Lexington Family YMCA is one of the only locations in the area where citizens can rent bikes and take a ride on the famous Legacy Trail, with the Y serving as the trailhead.
Individual Y members can pay a one-time $15 seasonal fee, or families can pay $30, and rent bikes from the beginning of April to the end of October. The number of family members does not affect the price in the family deal so the price is $30 regardless of number of children.
There are currently 20 bikes available for use, with varying sizes suitable for all ages.
Non-members can pay a one-time $30 fee and rent a bike. Only credit cards are accepted for one-time payments. For more information, call the North Lexington Family YMCA at 859-258-9622.

Back to School Rallies
The YMCA of Central Kentucky, in collaboration with 16 Lexington neighborhoods, is hosting the tenth annual Lexington Neighborhood Back to School Rallies on Saturday, July 30, 2016. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors: Fayette County Public Schools, Anthem, Rotary Club of Lexington, Fifth Third Bank and LFUCG (District 11).
These free rallies will provide elementary, middle and high school children with backpacks and school supplies. Each neighborhood will distribute supplies for all grade levels. The Back to School Rallies program is an initiative of the Y, which has served as the central coordinator of this partnership since 2011. Since that time, more than 35,000 children have been served through this important program.
Children must be with a parent or guardian in order to receive supplies.
