2016 Lexington Youth Science Summit
Join your peers for a day-long Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) focused event that puts you on track to becoming a leader of tomorrow. Youth Science Summits help match your big ideas to potential careers, programs, and fields of study.

Cost: $25.00 fee includes all activities, snack, lunch, and a t-shirt
Middle School and High School Students
Through interactive industry labs, team dialogue and activities and speed mentoring sessions, you’ll be face-to-face with the S.T.E.M. professionals in your region who are changing the world every day. A girls Middle Schools S.T.E.M. track is also available.
Lab Offerings: Hands-on lab sessions ranging from 30 to 60 minutes. Labs are presented by Lexmark or Bluegrass-region partners.
Reverse Science Fair: A spin on the traditional Science Fair; Youth will have an opportunity to survey research from throughout the region and discuss with a variety of S.T.E.M. professionals.
Speed Mentoring: Students will have the opportunity to sit down with professionals from an array of science disciplines to discuss their careers, and ask questions about colleges programs of study, and get helpful hints about taking the next step toward their professional careers.
The Tech-prenuer track, exclusive to high school students (2016-2017 school year), brings together experts in STEM-related fields and business leaders from various regional businesses and organizations to guide you through an exciting day of innovation to solve a real-world problem, preparing a business plan and presenting a pitch for potential investors. You may want to bring a laptop or tablet, and power cord! (optional)
