SUMMARY:Lex Glow Ride
DESCRIPTION:The second annual Lex Glow Ride will take place on Saturday\, N
 ov. 5 at Shillito Park. The event is hosted by the Lexington Area Metropol
 itan Planning Organization (MPO) and the City of Lexington to promote safe
  walking and riding behaviors. \n\nGlow Ride kicks off with a festival at 
 6 p.m.\, followed by the parade lineup at 6:45 p.m. The festival will take
  place in the small parking lot directly across from the baseball complex.
 \n\nThe festival will offer a variety of activity stations\, including fre
 e tire checks and bike tune-ups\, reflective gear giveaways and a bike dec
 oration station. Hot chocolate and water will be provided\, and food and d
 rink will be available for purchase from Olmeda’s Mexican Grill on Wheel
 s.\n\nThe ride will take place on the 2.4 mile paved path. The trail will 
 be lit\, with course marshals stationed at road crossings.\n\nAfter the ri
 de concludes\, community members are invited to stay at Shillito Park to v
 iew the night sky with the Bluegrass Amateur Astronomy Club.
