SUMMARY:Kentucky River Sweep
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nEach June\, volunteers are invited to help clean up lit
 ter and trash from the 12 miles of the Kentucky River that touch Fayette C
 ounty. It's a great opportunity to see the river up close and start the su
 mmer with a clean environment.\n\nThis even is sponsored by City of Lexing
 ton and the Kentucky River Authority.\n\nNote: If you have a kayak or cano
 e\, please bring it! We will have canoes for folks to use but the more fo
 lks who bring their own\, the faster everyone can get in the water.\n\nReg
 ister for River Sweep\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVolunteer reminders\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n 	
 Trash bags and gloves will be provided.\n 	Participants should wear clothi
 ng that can get wet and closed-toed shoes.\n 	If you have a boat\, canoe o
 r kayak\, please bring it with you.\n 	Volunteers who own life vests\, esp
 ecially if they are children\, are encouraged to bring them. A limited nu
 mber will be available for participants to borrow.\n 	The River Sweep is a
  rain-or-shine event\, so dress for the weather. Bug spray and sunscreen a
 re recommended.\n 	Volunteers will get lunch\, a River Sweep t-shirt and a
  giveaway for participating.\n 	All volunteers must sign a waiver. Volunte
 ers under 18 years of age must have a waiver signed by their parent or gua
 rdian. Waivers will be provided at the registration tent on the day of the
  River Sweep\, or you can download the waiver and bring it with you. Waive
 rs are uploaded to the webpage the month before the event.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
