DESCRIPTION:Join us for an Earth Day celebration at The Arboretum. The foll
 owing events are highlighted this year\, as part of our Earth Day event:\n
 Tree Giveaway\nA tree giveaway in partnership with LG&amp\;E. LG&amp\;E an
 d KU will be hosting a tree seedling giveaway at The Arboretum. The giveaw
 ay will begin at 10 am\, and will run on a first come-first serve basis un
 til there are no longer trees available. One tree per household\, please.\
 nCity Nature Challenge\nCity Nature Challenge 2026 observation day at the 
 Arboretum. Join Arboretum staff and volunteers as they record iNaturalist 
 observations for the 2026 City Nature Challenge (CNC). This global citizen
  science event invites participants to record plant and wildlife observati
 ons in your local communities for one weekend\, in an effort to better ass
 ess global biodiversity in urban habitats. No prior experience with CNC is
  necessary to participate\; downloading the iNaturalist app prior to the e
 vent is encouraged. The app free to download through the iNaturalist websi
 te\, as well as through the Apple App or Google Play stores.\nKentucky Chi
 ldren's Garden\nJoin us for special programs focused on conservation and s
 ustainability! These programs will take place from 10am to 1pm\, but the g
 arden will remain open until 5 pm. Regular admission rates apply: $4.00 pe
 r person ages 2 and above\, free for KCG members.\nExhibitors\nAlong the p
 ath from the Visitor Center to the Kentucky Children's Garden\, we will ho
 st local organizations and clubs\, such as the Living Arts and Science Cen
 ter\, Celebrate Lexington!\, and GleanKY\, to share hands-on activities an
 d information on how they support the Earth!\n\nWe hope that you can join 
 us for this special Earth Day celebration.
