SUMMARY:Bird Walk
DESCRIPTION:March Second Friday Bird Walk: Join the Raven Run staff on our 
 monthly program series exploring the birds throughout Raven Run Nature San
 ctuary. Beginner and experienced participants are welcome. Program is reco
 mmended for adults and children ages 10+. Free. Dress for the weather and 
 wear comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots. Some binoculars are availa
 ble to borrow if you don't have your own. Hiking routes vary but typically
  routes will be approximately 1.5 - 2 miles over easy to moderately diffic
 ult terrain with some uneven terrain and elevation gains/losses. Please fe
 el free to call ahead for further details about route and/or any accessibi
 lity concerns. Registration is strongly encouraged but not required for th
 is program. Please feel free to reach out to us at the Nature Center if yo
 u have questions at 859- 272-6105. For our March bird walk\, participants 
 will also have the opportunity to observe bird banding by the University o
 f Kentucky Department of Forestry and Natural Resources ornithology class.
