Five MROM Partners Offer $5 Admission for Locals
Some of Louisville’s top downtown attractions have a special deal for Kentucky and Indiana residents: $5 admission at each attraction for the month of February.
The promotion encourages locals to enjoy these wonderful attractions that are close to home. Thanks to $5 February, Kentucky and Indiana residents can escape a dreary, cold winter day and take advantage of world-class, indoor entertainment without having to travel very far or spend a lot of money.
$5 FEBRUARY RETURNS TO LOUISVILLE SLUGGER MUSEUM & FACTORY AND THE MUHAMMAD ALI CENTER
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (January 28, 2016) — Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory and the Muhammad Ali Center, partners in downtown Louisville’s Museum Row on Main, have teamed up to offer $5 admission at both attractions for Kentucky and Indiana residents throughout the month of February.
The promotion encourages locals to enjoy these wonderful attractions that are close to home. Thanks to $5 February, Kentucky and Indiana residents can escape a cold winter day and experience world-class, indoor entertainment without having to travel very far or spend a lot of money.
To take advantage of the offer guests must show proof of residency in Kentucky or Indiana, such as a driver’s license or alternate ID while purchasing tickets. Others in the party will also receive the $5 admission, a substantial savings over $9 – $14 regular ticket prices. The offer cannot be combined with other discounts, and does not apply to special tours or events.
As an added bonus, special offerings by the Muhammad Ali Center and The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts are also included in $5 February, described below:
Muhammad Ali Center: Selma to Montgomery: Marching Along the Voting Rights Trail (now through February 28, 2016): Documents Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s quest for equality and social justice in March of 1965 when he led thousands of nonviolent demonstrators to the steps of the capitol in Montgomery, Alabama, after a 5-day, 54-mile march from Selma, Alabama. This quest is documented through the exhibit’s 51 photographs and caption panels. Historic photographs include Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King, James Baldwin, Harry Belafonte, Clarence Williams, Cleveland Robinson, John Lewis, Juanita Abernathy, Ralph Abernathy, and others. These images of the Selma to Montgomery march are included in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts: Experience The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts’ remarkable permanent collection of contemporary art, featuring the works of world-renowned artists Alexander Calder, Jean Dubuffet, Louise Nevelson, Malcom Morley, Joan Miro, John Chamberlain, and Tony Smith. A number of local and regional artists’ works are also on display. Free, self-guided tours are available Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. through The Kentucky Center Box Office. Tours with a Kentucky Center guide are available for a $2 fee per person with advanced notice by calling Volunteer Services at 502-566-5241. Children are welcome. The exhibit is recommended for ages 6+ and children under 13 must be with a parent or guardian.
