Lexington features great classes and events for expecting parents. St. Joseph and Baptist Health both offer a variety of classes and special events.
The maternity fair events have looked different since COVID but keep watching and things may get back in full swing!
Great Expectations – Baptist Health In-Person or Virtual Event
Part 1 – Tuesday, April 25, 2023 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Part 2 – Tuesday, May 2, 2023 6:30 – 8:30 pm
We are excited to offer this free class as a virtual or in-person option. Each class date is EITHER in person or virtual, not both. Register for the date you wish to attend. Instructions will be sent in a confirmation email. REGISTER ONLINE
For Virtual Class Dates (Part 1 and Part 2 offered separately, 6:30-8:30 pm):
- Part 1 includes signs of labor, anatomy of labor and birth, natural comfort measures, when to come to the hospital, and our hospital photo tour.
- Part 2 covers the remainder of the hospital stay including pain medication options, vaginal and cesarean birth, and postpartum recovery care.
Your confirmation email will contain a “virtual event URL” to use to access class. Please check junk/spam folders. If you do not have access to a computer for class, instructions are available on request for listening in by phone call only.
